Just Some Thanks..
So, this posting is to thank those of you who faithfully read the Drolet Diaries. This week especially, I have very much missed our friends and family. When you read and post comments or even just tell us you read, it means alot to us. This is our best way to connect and communicate and we wish all of you an awesome Christmas with your families and friends, even the far away ones!

Just wanted to wish you a wonderful holiday season and I know that you are going to have a wonderful time with all of the family that are on their way to spend Christmas with you. Nanny (Meme) is doing very well and is happy and a true joy to be with. I took her out for a long walk on Sunday and showed her all of the BEAR and DEER tracks. Yep, we have bear on our property and it is actually bear hunting season for another week. Well, long story short. Monday morning I got a call from one of my Mennonite friends (our property is in the middle of a Mennonite community) and he just wanted me to know that he was on his way over to drop off 25 lbs of bear meet...and TWO, that's right, TWO deer. Well, not one to turn down such a kindness, I accepted his generous offerings, loaded everything in the back of the truck, and took it over to a local business for processing. Guess what we will be dining on on Christmas Day??? Not to worry, I think I have picked out some really good recipes. In any case I will let you know just how it all turns out.
Hilary and I are looking forward to flying back with Mom on the 26th and spending some time in Houston. I hope that you have a great holiday and will continue checking this site for all of your news.
